During a recent chat with one of our clients, they mentioned that they had received some critical feedback about a campaign we created for them.
The critical comments didn’t come from our client, their clients, their employees or their intermediaries - all of whom have been universally positive about the campaign (it is so popular that the campaign assets have made their way onto sought after items of clothing).
The negative feedback came from one of their competitors. A competitor that had not previously commented on anything about our client and their marketing.
The competitor said that the campaign wasn’t ‘serious’. And that it was too ‘jokey'.
We consider that a great result for the campaign.
Because in addition to significantly outperforming the standard advertising metrics in this market and contributing to the phenomenal growth of the brand, our client is now being talked about by competitors and is seen to be leading the debate.
